For years this actor has really been the grandfather i.e. NANA of cinema in India. Nana Patekar has left no stones unturned in delivering the best he has in his movies. This National Award winning actor has seen it all and done it all, but nothing was quite like this one. Nana Patekar has promptly refused to take any money for his forthcoming film Paathshaala.

We have seen Nana Patekar bring out his best while acting, but this is something which is worth applauding. He had told producer Shaira Khan, to make five cheques that covers his fees. And when the time was right, Nana told her to issue the cheques in the names of the charitable organizations. Nana is involved in these charitable trusts. This generosity shown by the great actor happens seldom in Bollywood. Nana Patekar plays the role of a school principal in the movie Paathshaala. Since, the movie projects on a sensitive subject taking into consideration the trials and tribulations that school children go through and the saddened education system, the great actor surely must have got touched and poignant to this insightful topic. The buzz is that, even Shahid Kapoor has refused to take any money for Paathshaala. That’s why they say, “One Good Deed leads to another”. Shahid Kapoor will be seen essaying a role of a teacher who has a very good rapport with the students. Paathshaala will have Ayesha Takia, Sushant Singh and Saurabh Shukla and child actors like Avika Gor, Swini Khare, Dwij yadav playing pivotal roles. The music of the movie is composed by Hanif Shaikh and is directed by distinguished reputed director Milind Ukey. Milind Ukey is honored with the Best Director award for his Marathi movie Devaki which won him 27 awards. And for the first time, the multitalented Ahmed Khan, whose major contribution has been in the field of choreography in Bollywood turns a producer for Paathshaala. Ahmed Khan has formerly directed movies like Fool n Final and Lakeer – The Forbidden Lines. He along with his wife Shaira Khan of Paperdoll Entertainment has produced this film. Nana Patekar has done something which is poles apart from his acting. His brash dialogue delivery and jagged expressions are something which resembles Nana. But, a sanctified deed like this is something which goes against his acting. This shows the pure and soft heart of the actor. Same could be said for Shahid too. He is already a heartthrob and now by doing a generous donation he has made a special place inside the hearts of the people. In recent times we have seen a Marathi movie deal with such a concept keeping in mind the educational system in India. Paathshaala is all set to do the same thing, but on a larger scale. Marathi movie was highly acclaimed and did a good job at the Box office. Paathshaala is slated to release on the 2nd of April. The movie’s official trailer was released, with the release of Veer in theatres. Let’s hope this would be an eye opener and will do some boon to the educational system. Written By: Srinjan Bhowmick

Guitar Beginning Lessons For Children

Most children enjoy music whether they are just listening to it, dancing to it or even just singing along to it. As they develop, many of those young people start to demonstrate an interest in making music of their own and will start searching around for an instrument to play.

In days gone by the only instruments that schools had to offer young children to play were perhaps tambourines, recorders or the triangle. I think there will be many of us who will remember an involvement with these simple instruments in our own childhood days.

In the twenty first century however youngsters want far more elaborate instruments to play than those their parents had been content with. It is that box in the corner of too many rooms, the television that influences our young people today. It is what they see on TV that so often has a bearing on the choices that this generation of youngsters will make.

Every pop group and most singers performing on the television seem to have a guitar in their hands. So is it any surprise that so often the choice is one of guitar for kids? Why would they want to play a triangle or recorder?

So you won’t be surprised then when your youngster asks you to dig deep and buy him or her a guitar. Naturally as a good parent you will want to foster that interest because you realise that learning to play a musical instrument is going to be a worthwhile part of your child’s development.

Once you have accepted that you are buying a guitar it is doubtful that you will get any say in what style of guitar you are going to buy. Youngsters are quite stubborn when they have a notion in their head and if it’s an electric, an acoustic or a classical guitar they want, then like as not that is what they will end up getting.

Together with the purchase of that beautiful new guitar must come some guitar lessons for kids. The speediest route to grief for that guitar and its owner will be the route that has no direction. Without some early sign of results in learning to play guitar, the guitar will soon become redundant!.

This is such a vital time for your child’s musical progress. At this point whilst you are still in charge it is critical that you find some guitar lessons for kids right at the start. The necessity for a structure to follow learning to play guitar cannot be over stressed. Your own engagement if that is possible will usually inspire greater and quicker success too.

Although it is undeniable that one to one lessons from a professional guitar teacher are always going to be the ultimate form of tuition, they come at a price. Much better to at least start off with a home study course until this relationship between child and guitar has developed and cemented. A great advantage to taking this route is that you can buy your course on line. So it is immediate and amazingly good value for money.

Alice in Wonderland Book Facts and Films

A few facts about the book that inspired the movies: This story had it's beginning with English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (but you probably know him better by the pen name pseudonym that he gave himself, which is Lewis Carroll). He thought up this story in the year 1865, from his own imagination. I'm sure he had no idea that his writings would remain popular for centuries. He named his novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (but the name was shortened to "Alice in Wonderland" somewhere along the way and that's the way we refer to it today). If I needed to tell you a summary of the story in one sentence, I'd say that Alice accidentally fell down a rabbit hole and discovered a whole new world down there, filled with creatures that are strange but also intriguing and sometimes fun, all at the same time. Some of these strange creatures are The Caterpillar - The Cheshire Cat - The Mad Hatter - The March Hare - The Queen of Hearts. I'm thrilled to know that Johnny Depp plays the role of The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's Disney 2010 movie version of the Alice in Wonderland story. A Brief History of Alice in Wonderland Films Through the Years: Some of the earliest films, based on the book, have been silent films produced in the years 1902 to 1915. Disney did an animated Alice in Wonderland in the year 1951. In the years that followed there have been other animation versions, anime adaptation, tv miniseries and even a Sesame Street Special, named Abby in Wonderland (2008 film - released directly on DVD).
